About Us - Overview
MitaMed is a medical company that is focused on delivering innovative cancer therapies for patients and clinical practitioners.
Emanating from extensive research and medical expertise at University College Cork, Cork Cancer Research Centre and the Mercy University Hospital, MitaMed has licensed the rights to the discovery, developments and patents for a minimally-invasive, energy-based device portfolio which has already demonstrated compelling results in pre clinical and phase I human clinical trials.
The company was founded by Mr. Michael Loftus and Dr. Declan Soden. Together, they bring extensive experience in cancer research and business development and management. The company is located in the gatewayUCC Innovation and Incubation Centre in order to stay close to ongoing Research and Development on campus.
